PPD chairman Deddi Eury Sitorus said his party hopes Anies can become a successful team or support Pramono-Rano. One of the goals is to improve the polarization that occurred when Anis was governor in the previous term.
“Yes, we hope (to support Pramono-Rano), we hope that Mr. Anies will be part of this team and not only win the governorship but resolve the tensions resulting from the 2018 gubernatorial election,” Deddy Sitorus told PDIP reporters. DPP, quoted on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

On the other hand, Deddy rejected Anies’ offer to become a PDIP cadre. He does not care if Anies does not join the PDIP. Moreover, even if Anies is nominated in the Jakarta gubernatorial election, he will be paired with Rano Karno, who is a DPP cadre.

“Nothing. We never proposed to Mr. Anies to become a member of PDI Perjuangan. The PDIP, he said, also has no problem if Anies wants to join Pramono-Rano Timses, even if he is not a cadre. He believes that Anies’ ability and influence can be used to convey important messages to society.
