There, Sutarmiji-Didi was directly addressed by the Chairman of PW Muhammadiyah West Kalimantan, Dr. X. Pabali Musa and the ranks of PV Muhammadiya West Kalimantan. Leaders of autonomous organizations in Muhammadiyah such as Aisyya, Muhammadiyah Youth, Muhammadiyah Students Association, Tapak Suji, Muhammadiyah Students Association and Nasiyatul Aisiyah were also present. The Rector of ITEKES Muhammadiya and the heads of educational institutions in Muhammadiya were also present.
“Today we have Mr. Sutarmiji and Mr. Didi Haryono as candidates for governor and deputy governor of West Kalimantan. Their arrival in PW Muhammadiya is a means of friendship,” said Pabali Musa.

As a personality, Pabali acknowledged that Sutarmiji’s performance as governor of West Kalimantan was commendable, especially in the areas of education and health.
“He is very concerned about education and health in West Kalimantan,” Pabali said.

The former deputy regent of Sambas also stressed that Sutarmiji was always connected with the great Muhammadiyah family.
“During his tenure as governor, his relationship with PW Muhammadiyah West Kalimantan was also very good,” he said.

Sutarmiji also revealed that his youngest son graduated from Pontianak Muhammadiyah High School. This is a source of pride for him as he considers the quality of education offered by Muhammadiyah to be a leader in modern Islamic education.
At this time of friendship, the Muhammadiyah family of West Kalimantan also prayed for Sutarmiji and Didi to lead West Kalimantan again. Five years ago, in the same room of PW Muhammadiyah West Kalimantan, the then Muhammadiyah family prayed for Sutarmiji to lead West Kalimantan. As a result, Sutarmichi won.
Before going to Muhammadiyah, Sutarmiji and Didi first attended the extended PWNU West Kalimantan family based at the Darul Hidayah Rasau Jaya Islamic Boarding School under the patronage of PWNU West Kalimantan Syariah Chairman KH Ismail Ghafoor.
