VIVA – Indonesia’s U-20 youth team lost again in the third match of the 2024 Seoul Cup, this time against hosts South Korea.

Garuda Asia lost 0-3 in the match played at the Mokdong Stadium in Seoul on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Indonesia’s U-20 national team was leading 0-1 with just five minutes remaining. From a corner kick, defender Shin Minha scored a header that broke the Indonesian goal.
In the 25th minute, the home side increased their lead to 2:0. Hong Seok-hyun’s pass into the penalty area was calmly handled by Kim Tae-won and headed in by Ikram Algiffari.

In the 32nd minute, Indonesia’s goal was broken again. Hung Seok-hyun took the ball from a corner kick, causing Ikram to grab the ball for the third time. The score was 0:3 at half-time.
South Korea dominated the second half. In the 58th minute, Pak Subin fired a powerful shot from inside the box, but it still went over the post.

Four minutes later it was the turn of South Korea’s U20 substitute Kim Gyol to extend the threat. But Kim’s kick was still too weak and Ikram easily got the better of it.
The under-20 youth team only had a chance in the 71st minute.

After trying to defend South Korea constantly, time could not wait. Until the referee blew his long whistle, the score was still 3:0 in favour of South Korea.
